Instructions for use

Maximize your plant growth with these four simple steps to prepare your cocopeat powder.

    Measure the cocopeat

    Place your desired amount of cocopeat powder into a clean tub or bucket. Use 1 part cocopeat by volume as your base.

    Hydrate and fluff

    Slowly add 1 to 1.5 parts water for every 1 part of cocopeat. Mix and fluff the material by hand until it is evenly damp. Wash the high EC cocopeat at least two times. Avoid overwatering; there should be no free-standing water pooling at the bottom.

  3. 3

    Rinse for seedlings

    If you are using this medium for seed germination, thoroughly wash the hydrated cocopeat and drain the water 2 to 3 times. This crucial step flushes out natural excess salts to protect delicate young roots.

  4. 4

    Blend your potting mix

    For regular pots and garden beds, thoroughly blend 30% to 50% cocopeat with your standard topsoil or compost to drastically improve moisture retention and aeration.
