Instructions for use

Maximize your plant growth with these four simple steps to prepare your GardenMuse Cocopeat blocks.

1. 1

   Prepare the block

   Place your compressed cocopeat block into a large, clean tub or bucket. Ensure the container is spacious enough, as the block will expand significantly up to 5 to 7 times its original size.

   Hydrate and expand

   Pour warm water slowly over the block, using roughly 4 to 5 parts water for every 1 part of compressed block by weight. Let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes to absorb the water, then break apart and fluff any remaining hard core by hand until it is evenly damp. Wash the high EC cocopeat at least two times.

3. 3

   Rinse for seedlings

   If you are using this medium for seed germination, thoroughly wash the expanded cocopeat and drain the excess water 2 to 3 times. This crucial step flushes out natural excess salts to protect delicate young roots.

4. 4

   Blend your potting mix

   For regular pots and garden beds, thoroughly blend 30% to 50% expanded cocopeat with your standard topsoil or compost to drastically improve moisture retention and aeration.
